Happy #2 Wy!

Gosh I am so horrible at this anymore. Wyatt has been two for almost a month now and I am just barely getting around to getting it on here! That is so sad! He is OBSESSED with horses right now so  I would ask him if he wanted a horse cake and he would say no. I would ask him if he wanted a horse for his birthday and he would say no.  But I figured that was probably the best route to take for him. I know two-year-olds don't really care what kind of cake they get but I LOVE making birthday cakes now, so my children will probably never have just a plain birthday cake ever again. We were really nervous that he was not going to want to open his presents. He tends to be shy in front of a lot of people. We hoped that being the center of attention on his birthday wouldn't be too discouraging. I don't know what we were worried about. He was darling. I bought him a couple of toy horses and he didn't like them. Kale decided he needed a cap gun and of course that was his favorite toy of the night. I love that little guy. He seriously melts my heart. I have such a hard time getting mad at him and when I do right after I just want to hold him and cuddle him and give him anything he wants. I think part of it is just the age he is at and the cute faces he makes!

I had the cake sitting on my stove to cool off. I guess Wyatt just needed to make sure it was edible before I decorated it! He was standing on the ground reaching up to get it. I don't know how he even knew what was in the pan.

I blew up a bunch of balloons cause my kids love them. Kale was at school and Darcy was napping so Wy just got to play by himself and this is where he put them. He also made trains out of them.

It didn't turn out exactly how I had envisioned but it was good enough for a two-year-old I guess.

This is him trying to show us how old he is now. He couldn't figure out how to hold up two fingers. Luckily Dad is there to help out.

I don't think that any of the pictures I took of him opening his presents turned out very well. This one is probably the best one I got. The gun Kale is holding is the one he gave Wyatt. And Wyatt loves having his own "shoot".
