So I know I haven't posted for a while and quite a bit has happened. I might write about all of that later but for now I just need to vent but I didn't really want to call anyone and complain but I wanted someone to hear me so I thought this way someone might read this but they don't have to sit and listen just to be nice, they could just not read it.
So our garage smells like something died in there but Clint is sure it was just some garbage that got put in a weird random place. It wouldn't be so bad but the smell is coming into the laundry room and Kale's room. We'll see if Clint was right about the garbage, he got rid of it last night and I am airing out the garage right now.
We have ants. Not just a few either. When we moved in there were a few by the front door but that was all I found. Then a little later I found some in Kale's room. Then a few days ago they found the dining room! So I have been having the kids kill as many as they can. But it doesn't seem to be helping. Every day there are even more!
I didn't feel well this morning and Kale was the only one up (or so I thought) so I laid in bed longer than I should have but Kale likes to get his own breakfast most mornings anyway. Well, when I went in the kitchen Wyatt was sitting at the table eating breakfast that Kale had gotten him. It was grapenuts in a tall cup with milk. And it was all over him and the table. I took the grapenuts away because I really didn't want any more mess. So he started throwing a fit about that, but then I gave him some Life in a bowl, no milk. Well he didn't like that and threw that all over the kitchen. I think he just wanted to make sure the whole neighborhood worth of ants would have plenty to eat clear till the end of next winter.
Then, I am not sure if this happened while I was on the phone or while I was in the shower, but there was a pair of scissors on the table. Again I don't know why because I don't leave things like that laying around usually. I think Kale must have gotten them out for something. Well, a darling little Darcy girl found them and decided she needed a new do. I could have just cried when I saw all that long hair on the chair and floor. She cut just one side and on the top and bangs. It looks awful! I don't know what to do about it. I was so excited. Yesterday I pulled all of her hair back in a ponytail. I have lost my cameras somewhere in this house so I can't even take a picture to show you the damage. I knew that this happens to a lot of little girls but I hoped it wouldn't happen to mine. Of course with the help of her older brother this is now the third time it has happened to her. The first two times weren't quite as bad and we made do but this time I am not so lucky. And the top was just finally starting to grow out from the last one. I guess I will just have to have Aunt Lisa take a look and tell me what she thinks is best. When Clint came home for lunch he and his friend Cody said they could barely tell. I think they must be crazy!
I called Clint to ask him to pick up something to get rid of the ants on his way home. Well I thought he would just bring it home tonight after work I didn't know he planned on coming home for lunch so I decided to mop the floor. Well right after starting he shows up with this spray and wants to spray where I am trying to mop. Plus he just starts spraying it on the carpet. So I make the comment that it is going to ruin the carpet and ask him to to spray where I am about to mop and he got mad. I really did appreciate that he was doing something about the problem.
Anyway, I better go get the kids some lunch. Sorry to just sit and complain.
